Uploading new versions of files[edit]

You appear to be having problems with uploading files. Let's work through them to see how I can fix them.

In the summary for File:The Man Himself 16x32 large.jpg you wrote: "I don't know how to upload new versions of files, so I just completely upload a new one."

At the bottom of the "File history" section of a file that you uploaded, which of the following messages appears?

  • "Upload a new version of this file"
  • "You cannot overwrite this file."

In the summary for File:The Man Himself concept full small.jpg you wrote: "I tried uploading a new version of it, but the changes didn't show."

You often need to hard reload (Ctrl+Shift+R) after uploading a new version in order for the browser to realize that the image has changed rather than relying on its cache.

At the bottom of 'File History' in File:The Man Himself 16x32 large.jpg, it says "Upload a new version of this file".
As for uploading new versions of files, the changes have showed, so in the future I'll be good with uploading files. Thanks. | The Man Himself (talk) 22:55, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
