Length limits[edit]

For the record, most of the forums on which I have been active use length limits of either 255 or 300 characters. I haven't seen 200, though I suppose that's likely to be used too. Eighty5cacao 10:01, 11 May 2012 (MST)

Well, I might be getting 200 and 300 mixed up, now that I haven't been active on the forum in question for a while. However, I do clearly remember 255. Take this all with a grain of salt... Eighty5cacao 17:20, 19 June 2012 (MST)

Aside on "neurotypical businessmen"[edit]

This is a quick-and-dirty brain dump. Part of this content belongs in User:Eighty5cacao/misc/Aspie notes/version 2; part belongs with some discussion about neoteny and other forms of heterochrony (probably TTM-related).

In the real [developed] world, people don't want to spend time teaching and learning; they just want results.

Likewise, biological organisms do not develop elaborate behaviors that do not clearly further the goals of surviving and reproducing. (However, the standards are ever changing for humans, at least in the upper classes ... tie this into socioeconomic inequality and the need for people to do menial labor. State of the Onion[edit]

It isn't about government censorship of Tor; it's a conference for the Perl programming language. (TODO.) --Eighty5cacao (talk) 21:33, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

My first thought after seeing the section heading in the edit summary in RC: Did theonion.com shut down? --Tepples (talk) 22:23, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
Use of the term "State of the Onion" in reference to Tor (at 31C3; to be explained better later) --Eighty5cacao (talk) 17:56, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
