Talk:Software licensing policy
You gave Ryzom as an example of a game that licenses code under AGPL and art assets under CC-BY-SA. However, you previously said that the unmodified GNU licenses are incompatible with the unmodified Creative Commons licenses because the CC licenses allow the author to request removal of attributions while the GNU licenses do not. AGPL does not appear to differ from GPL in any way that addresses this.
Does this threaten the validity of Ryzom's licensing? Could you clarify this issue in general? Eighty5cacao 22:06, 23 December 2010 (MST) (last edit 16:16, 27 December 2010 (MST))
- It shows that FSF considers the program and its data to be separate works. --Tepples 08:48, 28 December 2010 (MST)
