Why doesn't Thwaite have a menu that allows music to be disabled? Eighty5cacao 16:52, 13 May 2011 (MST)
This ROM name appears to be based on an outdated version of GoodNES.
GoodNES 3.10 currently has (W) [!]
, (E) (REVA) [!]
, and (E) (REVB) [!p]
, though I can only seem to find one PAL-exclusive revision in BootGod's database.
Some 2.x or 3.0 version of GoodNES had (JU) [!]
, which probably corresponds to the current (W) [!]
.
The same version that had (JU) (PRG 1)
also had (JU) (PRG 0) [!]
. The latter probably corresponds to the (JU) [!]
and/or (W) [!]
mentioned above.
The (JU) (PRG 1)
dump might be bad or hacked, though I have no convenient legal way of verifying how the names correspond between different GoodNES versions.
This probably isn't so relevant to the issue of finding a Game Genie code, since it is unlikely that any program code was shifted around. Eighty5cacao 14:32, 14 May 2011 (MST) (last edit 11:03, 15 May 2011 (MST))
(PRG 1)
vs. the known-good NTSC version. AFAIK, a typical bad dump would shift data around by some power-of-two interval (if the glitch were in an address line), while a code revision would not necessarily be as such.(W) [!]
), and there was also a PAL-exclusive revision. I still can't account for all the names in any particular GoodNES. (That page only describes the ABI and doesn't list patches, which are presumably discussed in the forums somewhere.) Eighty5cacao 14:37, 14 May 2011 (MST)
