If you don't want TrueType, you can also use METAFONT; however, METAFONT is mainly meant for printer fonts. METAFONT also makes it more clear that the vector fonts (which can be outline, brush, a combination, or possibly something else too) are a computer program that outputs a bitmap font. You can do hints too, although it doesn't have built-in commands for hinting as much as TrueType does, but macros can be used. I don't know if even you might make a METAFONT program to automate some of the steps you have mentioned. But of course you can use TrueType too, or you can just use bitmap fonts if you only ever need one size and only for screen fonts (and make enlargements manually). --[[Special:Contributions/24.207.58.35|24.207.58.35]] 06:01, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Daily Pangram Blogspot is now private[edit]

As of this edit, dailypangram.blogspot.com now prompts for login with a Google Account. I didn't bother trying to log in to see what happens afterward. The Tumblr blog is not affected, but this seems to destroy the entire point of this essay. What are our best practices for handling this? --Eighty5cacao (talk) 22:41, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

It says I haven't been invited, and /robots.txt says Wayback Machine isn't allowed in either. For now, I reworded it without reference to any particular collection of pangrams. --Tepples (talk) 22:55, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
Good news: Wayback Machine changed its policy to apply /robots.txt less broadly. This allowed me to archive the first 550 pangrams, along with their CC-BY 3.0 license notice, in a hosted storage account. --Tepples (talk) 01:26, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Using METAFONT[edit]

--24.207.58.35 06:01, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
