Admittedly, I never really noticed the functionality or privacy implications of Tynt partially because I rarely copy anything from Cracked except URLs and partially because of rules in the EasyPrivacy subscription for Adblock Plus. Also, the Disable clipboard manipulations extension would have prevented Tynt from working anyway.
I opted out after reading your article, not that it matters anyway.
