:On Wednesday, a trolley hit a crowd of ''C&H'' fans, myself among them. When I woke up in the hospital, I noticed my chest was torn up, and my arms, legs, and nose were broken. By the next day, they rigged up a cable to control a computer mouse through my hip. Then they fixed my nose, patched up my chest with plywood, and jury-rigged what was left of my arms into a crutch tip and a hook, and I was released on Friday. I've been posting about it in #general-public and #memes. Now I'm just waiting for a pair of replacement arms to come in.

In two Discord servers related to the webcomic Cyanide & Happiness, the uploader role-plays as the character Pino. In a promotion for the card game Trial by Trolley, the backers of the game's Kickstarter campaign got to vote on whom a runaway trolley would run over in each of several videos. Decision #12 was between the C&H creators and the C&H fan base, and the result video for Decision #12 showed an overwhelming vote for the trolley running over the fans. After the release of this video on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, the collision sent Pino to the hospital. By the following Monday, he summarized his recovery so far:

On Wednesday, I was walking to a meeting of Cyanide & Happiness_ fans. We had gathered over some abandoned trolley tracks when it turned out the tracks weren't quite as abandoned as we'd thought.

Later updates describe use of the Transport kit as a stopgap and the half-repaired state his insurer left him in:

Since then, I dug out an old pair of tank tracks, and next week I was fitted for a new right arm.

This image, based on File:Cireclinlin Pino forms.png, illustrates Pino's hands as of his release. From left to right:
