The old RAnT page from 2008 is available through Wayback Machine. Damian Yerrick has been updating some of the arguments here to take into account more recent developments in technology and policy.

A lot of people on web forums hold common misconceptions. But when I answer them over and over, I get my posts voted down as redundant even though the misconception that I'm replying to isn't marked redundant. Mini-rants are short articles answering common misconceptions so that I can say it shorter with a link.
